Coyote Point Equalizer VLB™
Enhanced Application Availability and Acceleration for VMware Infrastructure™

Equalizer VLB and VMware Servers
Coyote Point has taken load balancing VMware Infrastructure to the next level with Equalizer VLB - virtual load balancing technology. This software enabled application delivery capability is optimized for VMware Infrastructure. Equalizer VLB integration with VMware Infrastructure is available to users of E350si, E450si, E550si and E650si Equalizer appliances with current support contracts.
VLB Load Balances and Accelerates VMware Servers
Equalizer VLB monitors the VMware Infrastructure to determine virtual machine status. Combining Equalizer expertise and awareness of application availability and server traffic trends with VMware's ability to monitor the VMware servers and physical resource utilization creates a synergy delivering overall higher application performance and availability for customers. Equalizer will be able to extract information provided to it by the VMware API to load balance virtual machines with enhanced knowledge of the Virtual Machine. Improved plotting in the Equalizer GUI allows these new load balancing methods to be easily monitored.
With Equalizer VLB added to the Coyote Point appliance, users will be able to guarantee the uptime of applications delivered by virtual servers, and real servers alike. Higher application performance and availability will be achieved compared to load balancing and virtualization working independently. This provides a comprehensive load balancing and application acceleration solution for today's fast growing small to mid-market organizations.
