Coyote Point Selected as Official InteropNet Application Acceleration/Load Balancing Provider for Interop 2009
Coyote Point Invited Again to Power Interop's Reliable, High-Speed Networking Services for Exhibitors, Conference Rooms and Attendees
SAN JOSE, CA, MAY 11, 2009 - InteropNet. It's the largest private temporary network in the world. Each year volunteers gather for 2 weeks in Las Vegas to assemble $12 million of cutting-edge network infrastructure into the network that powers the Interop trade show. Carefully selected best of breed network equipment providers donate the equipment and the expert engineers who manage the network.
This year, Coyote Point Systems, the leading provider of application acceleration and load balancing solutions for mid-market companies is pleased to announce their repeat selection as InteropNet's official Application Acceleration and Load Balancing provider. The network will be assembled in Las Vegas in May and again in New York in November, and will feature six of Coyote Point's Equalizer E650GX flagship application acceleration appliances.
"We're very happy to have Coyote Point providing application acceleration and load balancing for the InteropNet again this year," said Geoff Horne, InteropNet Architect. "Coyote Point won the competitive selection process based on their impressive performance and feature set as well as ease of deployment and management."
Coyote Point's Benefits to the InteropNet include automated control of the virtualized datacenter, using Coyote Point's recently introduced "VLB Advanced" technology. SSL offload and acceleration will provide improved security to sensitive web-based applications while real-time data compression will reduce bandwidth consumption, improving application responsiveness and reducing costs. Disaster recovery across three Interop datacenters is delivered by Envoy global server load balancing technology, a standard feature of the E650GX.
"Working with the other volunteers at InteropNet is something I look forward to each year. It's not often you get to work with a team this knowledgeable and committed" Sergey Katsev, Coyote Point's lead InteropNet Engineer reports. "InteropNet is where we get to show off our products to their best advantage each year. The level of traffic, uptime requirements and interoperability challenges are as stringent as any in the commercial world"
Announced earlier this year, the E650GX provides up to 400 percent performance gains when compared to its predecessor. Hardware and software improvements offer reduced power consumption, supporting greener datacenters, and the latest version of Coyote Point's EQ/OS software allows IT managers to reduce infrastructure expenditures, while ensuring 100 percent availability and increased performance of applications across the entire enterprise. The company has priced the product competitively at $14,395, less than half the cost of competing products from traditional enterprise vendors like F5 and Citrix.
Tours of the InteropNet will take place at Interop Las Vegas May 19-21. Coyote Point's Equalizer GX family will be demonstrated at the company's booth #1843.
