Connectivity
Coyote Point’s EQ/OS 10 was designed
as a foundation architecture for a
new generation of Application
Delivery solutions. Beyond a
specific feature set, the EQ/OS 10
platform is designed with a robust
and flexible configuration tool kit
in order to keep pace with the
complexity and rapidly evolving IT
network environments.
Equalizer Load Balancers and
Application Delivery Controllers
have a well-deserved reputation for
being easy to deploy. The
forward-looking architecture of the
EQ/OS 10 platform compliments that
simplicity with the ability to
interoperate in advanced network
environments. As a result, EQ/OS 10
gives equal weight to networking
flexibility and application traffic
management.
Coyote Point leveraged 12 years and
10 generations of application
delivery software experience to
design the EQ/OS 10 network stack to
meet both existing and anticipated
needs:
-
Advanced topologies:
Coyote Point’s customers deploy our
products in an amazing variety of
environments. Some users prefer to
deploy a “single arm” configuration
using only a single network
interface. Hosting and datacenter
operators often deploy dozens of
VLANs, each with multiple IP
networks. EQ/OS 10 was designed to
support both types of users, and
those whose needs fall between the
extremes.
-
Role-based management:
EQ/OS 10 treats the physical and
logical network as interrelated
objects, all of which can be managed
with full role-based
permissions. Network and application
engineers can cooperate to build
network/server environments that
meet their departmental needs. In a
product that bridges network and
application disciplines, these
management capabilities are a must.
-
Full IPv6 support:
Ready or not
IPv6 has arrived. The exhaustion of
the IPv4 address space makes IPv6 a
requirement for any IT equipment
purchase. EQ/OS 10 meets this need
head on with a dual stack offering
simultaneous support for IPv6 and
IPv4. For our customers this means
that both user facing applications
and administrative functions are
IPv6 ready and allow for transition
to IPv6 at your own pace. To go a
step further, EQ/OS 10 users who
don’t yet have IPv6 connectivity
from their ISPs can take advantage
of Coyote Point’s “Instant IPv6”
tunnel feature.
Coyote Point continues to lead the
pack in delivering an
enterprise-grade foundation
technology for Load Balancing,
Application Delivery and
Acceleration solutions that are
powerful, flexible and easy to use.
EQ/OS 10 Network & Connectivity
features:
- VLAN capabilities:
4096 802.1Q Tagged
VLANs on up to 22 physical
interfaces
- Multi-gateway support:
Multiple default gateways,
independent source and
destination address routing
policies and contexts.
- Inter-subnet Routing:
policy
based network packet flow
control with explicit ACL
filtering capabilities.
- Multi-net support:
Instantiate multiple contiguous and discontiguous
networks on any VLAN
- IPv6 Support:
IPv6 supported
for all Layer 7 cluster objects
as well as all
administrative/monitoring
protocols (HTTP/S, SSH, SNMP,
DNS, NTP). Supports mixed-mode
topologies with servers on IPv4
and clusters on IPv6 and
vice-versa. Servers and clusters
may be dual-stacked.
- TCP/IP Optimization:
TCP segmentation offload, IP
fragmentation offload, TCP “FIN
cache” optimization.
